Undergraduate
Chelsea DeNnis
Chelsea grew up in Panama City, FL and has traveled all over the US. She enjoys relaxing at the beach and spending time with her daughter who loves to “do science” just like her mom. She enrolled at East Carolina University in the spring of 2022 and is currently a senior majoring in biology and chemistry. She is currently in Dr. Meng’s emerging contaminants lab and has an interest in how industrial toxins affect living organisms and the environment, more notably PFAS. She looks forward to embarking on numerous experiments and scientific discoveries. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, sleeping in, taking walks, organizing, and reading.

Undergraduate
Christopher East
Christopher East grew up in the Outer Banks and is currently an undergraduate at East Carolina University. As he completes his degree in Biology, he hopes to apply to medical school. Coming from the Outer Banks, water quality has always been one of his passions. He hopes to give a different but biological perspective on the emerging contamination research lab. During his summers he enjoys the beach, surfing, soccer, and playing the piano.

Undergraduate
Greyson Sanchez
